No pictures with this one! I just thought I'd do a "real blog" - writing about what's happening RIGHT NOW. I'm sitting at the table with my first cup of coffee, Sydney is walking around with puzzle pieces singing "Mary had a little lamb" and John is sitting in his bouncy toy thing making it go 'schwing' and straining to turn his little neck to follow Sydney's running around. OK, now Sydney is ambushing John with a stuffed kangaroo.
We are waiting for the Packers to arrive to pack up our airfreight and storage items. Sydney is being picked up shortly by Aunty Lindy and will be spending the good part of the day playing with the Lambs. I'm still not sure how I'm feeling about this moving stuff - excited to be back in the US and so close to my family for the first time in 9 years (especially with the kids); sad to be leaving my friends, family and close networks here; nervous to be starting over in a city where we know no one; anxious about the impending travel with two little kids; looking forward to the cheap and good shopping in the US - the list goes on.
Rich is still up in Japan - how he manages to schedule a business trip each time the house needs to be boxed up and moved is beyond me! The poor guy really needs a holiday, though we're not sure when that's going to come. He's already scheduling a trip BACK to Japan and Korea from the US for the last week in May - and we're not even there yet! Needless to say, we know he does it for his family - but that doesn't make us miss him any less when he's gone.
OK, well I'm now surrounded by stuffed kangaroos, a big pink bear, a soft cat puppet and an oinking pig - so much for my well organised area of stuffed animals to be packed up!

You better keep this blog up-to-date when you're over in LA LA land. See you soon.
