Sydney starred as a lamb in the Christmas program at her school. It was just precious. She had a choice of six different stable animals and she knew straight away that she wanted to be a lamb. So we went on to the internet together to look up how to make a costume. Then the search was on for a hooded shirt at the beginning of an Australian summer - not an easy task.
I went through almost two bags of cotton balls and about 250ml of white glue - by the time it was finished it was one, stiff lamb costume. She had to have help from the teacher putting it on and taking it off because it was so stiff, but even though it shed a bit more each day she couldn't have been happier with the end result.Sydney has come a long way the last few years when it comes to standing on stage and performing. Her confidence has grown by leaps and bounds and we couldn't be more proud of her. When she was 2 1/2 she stood on the side of the stage with her fingers in her mouth, looking down at the ground - we were surprised she even stayed on stage. This year she sang her little heart out as a lamb in Jesus' stable and was so excited to be part of the whole production.
