Decorating the Christmas tree is one of my favorite activities of the holiday season. I love getting out all the ornaments and taking a trip down memory lane as I unwrap each ornament. I have continued the tradition that my mom started - letting the kids pick out a special ornament each year to add to their collection. I have to admit, I buy them more than one, picking out one or two along the way that represent where we've been or what we've done.

There's no place better than Daddy's shoulders when you're trying to get to the higher branches.
I actually made it into a photo! Sydney is becoming such the little singer, so we sang some carols around the tree as we trimmed it.
She's also a little poser! Behind her you can see the results of a 3 1/2 year old's tree trimming abilities - put as many as you can in one place (we thinned them out after she went to bed).
Every ornament that John hung was followed with a declaration of "pretty". Every morning he'd come out of his bedroom, run into the living room and tell us "tree, so pretty". I agreed.
