Sunday mornings at GLPC were a given in our household - and started at 9 with Parents in Action and we were home around Noon after social time and the normal service. At first I thought having the kids in the Sunday School program for 3 hours was crazy, but they LOVED it and didn't want to go. It wasn't just play and eat, no, they had a full bible school program even at the kids ages and Ms Rosie, Ms Emelie and Ms Marivic were just AMAZING.
So what do photos of the kids playing in water have to do with church? Well, I realized I don't really have any specific photos from church itself, and these photos ARE from a church activity the last week we were there. They had hired two huge, inflatable water castles for some youth group activities, so since they were at the church anyway, kids and parents of all ages were invited one morning for some wet and wild fun. Despite the fact we were being packed up three days later, I was running around town like a crazy woman finishing stuff up, etc, there was no way we were missing this.
Besides, when it's 100 degrees outside with edible humidity, you gotta cool off somehow! Grammie was in town, so she joined right in. Thankfully no one got a picture of me sliding down the track headfirst into the pool - it wasn't pretty. The kids just ran back and forth for about an hour having an absolute blast. Some of the wonderful Middle School girls were there as well helping the kids up the other castle which had stairs and slide down into the pool. Right before we were leaving Sydney finally got up the courage to try it out.
