Please pardon how horribly pixelated this video is, but of course the raw footage was 104MB, we are limited to uploading 100MB at a time, so we had to compress it, thus losing quality.
At any rate... This is Sydney's Float Test at swimming. Her swim club promotes back floating as a survival technique if kids fall in the pool, or other body of water. Once they have reached a certain level of competency they can do the "Float Test" which is three consecutive lessons where they are tested with increasing amounts of clothing on. This is her second test - she is wearing capri pants, a t-shirt and tennis shoes. On Friday she'll have to wear jeans, a long-sleeve shirt and tennis shoes.
We think she did so well. Notice how even though she was close to the edge, she had to reposition herself so the top of her head was touching the wall before she could reach over. When the kids complete the test they ring the cow bell and all the teachers erupt into screaming. Hopefully you can see the huge, proud grin on her face when she finished - even poor quality video can't hide the grin.
