Here she is sitting patiently (though not exactly paying attention) to her Coach (in the green shirt). Whilst this picture isn't exactly all that interesting, I have included it mainly for my sister, Lori, to show her that she indeed did wear her Hardy T-shirt to practice (and has continued to wear it to all practices since then).

An American Rite of Passage
Sydney started 3-year-old T-ball at the end of June, here are some clips from her first practice.
Here's the happy player holding up her glove. As she is a lefty, we had to get her a glove for her right hand. Unfortunately there aren't a lot to choose from, so she had to get used to the idea of having a "boy's" glove rather than a pink "girl's" glove.
I couldn't figure out how to zoom in on this, so use your imagination! Sydney playing Shortstop. They had a good drill going here where a few of us rolled ground balls out to the kids and then they had to run it or throw it in to the Coach at the Pitcher's mound. She did get this one without letting it roll past her. Unlike her mother, she has surprisingly good T-ball skills and figured out how to put the glove all the way to the ground to catch rolling balls (yes, I don't put my glove down all the way, stupid, I know).
All the kids got a few turns at the bat; it's the part they all like the best. What great follow-through, and the ball is actually airborne. You can see the look of excitement on her face.
